Flights

Expedia.com

I usually start my airfare search with Expedia. Then I cross-check on other search tools to make sure I’ve found the best deals.

Budget, National, Avis, Hertz, & Alamo!

Priceline will find you all the best flight options for any destination. You can also find great hotel and car rental deals on this site.

Skyscanner consistently finds me the cheapest flights out there. It lets you search for specific dates or month-long ranges so you can find the days with the best deals.

FareDrop is an app that sends flight deals (sometimes up to 80% off flights!) directly to your phone or inbox. You tell the app your preferred airports, destinations, and price, and this app will find you the best flight deals!

Hotels and Vacation Homes

Hotels and Vacation Homes

Booking.com has a broad selection of locally-owned and boutique hotels, and reservations are simple and secure.

Hostelworld

I always opt for a private room (which hostels have!), but I love that hostels give me the “built-in” option of easily joining group activities. For solo travelers, hostels can be the best of both worlds!

What I like best about Hotels.com is that I can search for B&Bs in addition to a wide range of hotels.

Vrbo

This is my go-to site for a girlfriends’ getaway and for when I want to experience a destination like a local!

    Travel Planning

    Travel Planning

Tripadvisor is one of my favorite sites for booking travel experiences. You’ll find fantastic tours and excursions, as well as helpful and honest reviews. Tripadvisor also lets you compare prices on hotels, flights, and cruises to find the best deals.

You can book almost any activity through GetYourGuide. From budget walking tours to luxury catamaran cruises, GetYourGuide can find you the perfect experience. Plus, most tours have free cancelation up to 24 hours before the excursion starts.

Roadtrippers has lots of pre-mapped routes and articles for you to start planning your trips, then you can customize and plan a trip from there! Roadtrippers Plus allows you to plan longer trips, use your maps offline, collaborate with family and friends, and check live traffic conditions. Use my code BTR5QTP to get $5 off!

    iVisa.com travel resources

Determining if I need a travel visa, and then figuring out how to get a visa are two of my least favorite parts of traveling. Getting a visa can be confusing and time-consuming, which is why I use iVisa! With iVisa, the travel visa process is simple and straight-forward because someone else takes care of it for you.
